Report a calculator problem
If a calculator gives a result you believe is wrong, shows an error, or behaves unexpectedly on your device, please let us know. Problem reports are the most useful messages we receive, and we aim to fix every confirmed problem.
Describe what happened and include the details listed under What to include in a calculator issue report.
Send a correction
If an explanation, example, formula or source on a page is inaccurate or out of date, tell us which page and which statement, and what you believe is correct. A link to a reliable source for the correct information makes a correction much quicker to confirm.
Suggest a calculator
If there is a calculation you need that the site does not offer yet, describe the question you are trying to answer and the inputs you would expect to enter. Suggestions help decide which calculators to build next, though we cannot promise to build every one.
General website questions
For anything else about the website, including accessibility problems, broken links or questions about our Privacy Policy or Terms of Use, email us at the same address.
What to include in a calculator issue report
A report with these details can usually be checked straight away:
- The page: the calculator's name or its URL.
- The values you entered: every input, exactly as you typed it, including units or selected options.
- The result you received: the result shown, or the error message.
- The result you expected: and, if you can, how you worked it out.
- A source, if relevant: for example, a published formula, rate or standard the result should follow.
- Your device and browser, if the problem is with how the page displays or behaves.
Please do not send sensitive information
Email is not a secure way to send sensitive information. Please do not include:
- passwords or security codes;
- bank, card or other payment details;
- government identification numbers or documents;
- medical records or health details;
- tax records or similar personal financial documents.
A calculator problem can almost always be described with example values instead of your real personal data.
